When in Korea, find a little France. As it turns out there is a French village in Paju called Provence. No one that Tiffany and I came across actually spoke French but it has a villa feel and it’s a stray from Korean. We made a day of it as it is quite small (actually we made half a day of it). The bakery does have some of the best bread that I’ve had so far in Korea and it’s quaint and colourful and, honestly, felt like a mini vacation.
Unfortunately the herb garden and lavender fields had not been planted yet. I had hoped to pluck some sprigs and stuff them in my pockets but perhaps next time. Yes, it was awesome enough that I am going back! (Also, it’s super close to the Art Valley [walking distance]).
As the legend goes, this restaurant was the inspiration for this themed village.
